Perth Polo Club is Home to West Australian Polo
Polo has been played in Western Australia for over 100 years, moving to its current home at King’s Meadow Polo Field, in Guildford 30 years ago.
The main West Australian Polo season runs from January to April with mid-week practice chukkas, and tournaments held every weekend. Perth Polo Club hosts a number of tournaments throughout the season, with National and International level polo players regularly competing. Some of the highlights of the season are the prestigious WA Open, held in March, and the coveted Charles Cup in April.
Perth Polo Club welcomes and encourages spectators to come and watch the action at the scenic grounds of King’s Meadow. Refreshments and bar facilities are available on all match days, or guests are invited to bring a picnic and sit on the grass beneath a shady gum tree.
Kings Meadow, in the historic township of Guildford and being only minutes from Perth International Airport and with accomodation close by, offers a unique Polo experience for the international traveller. A short train ride or 20 minute drive will take you into the heart of the Perth CBD.
